Locksmith ("we," "us," or "our") is a product of Hopeware Ltd. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the Locksmith Chrome extension and associated dashboard (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to transparency and to protecting your privacy.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Locksmith is a non-custodial application. We do not have access to your wallet, your private keys, your funds, or your vault smart contracts. Your vault is deployed as your own smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain and can only be controlled by your wallet address.
Locksmith does not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of the following:
Your private keys or seed phrases. Your wallet passwords. Your cryptocurrency balances or holdings. Your vault contents or deposit history. Your personal identity information (name, email, address, phone number). Your browsing history or activity on websites other than Uniswap transaction detection. Cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers.
The Locksmith extension processes certain data locally on your device in order to function. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server:
Wallet address: Used to identify your vault on-chain and to display your dashboard. Your wallet address is already public on the blockchain.
Transaction data: The extension monitors pending Ethereum transactions to detect Uniswap swaps and calculate realized profits. This processing occurs entirely within your browser.
Extension preferences: Settings such as your selected lock duration, shield status, and visual preferences are stored locally in your browser's extension storage.
Cost basis data: Token purchase prices used to calculate profit are stored locally in extension storage on your device.
When you interact with your vault (deploying, depositing, claiming, or releasing), transactions are submitted to the Ethereum blockchain through your wallet provider (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby). These transactions are public and immutable by nature of the blockchain. Locksmith does not control this data and cannot modify or delete it.
The dashboard reads publicly available on-chain data (vault state, deposit history, lock timers) via standard RPC calls to display your vault information.
Locksmith interacts with the following third-party services:
Your wallet provider (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, etc.): Used to sign and submit transactions. Governed by their respective privacy policies.
Ethereum RPC providers: Standard read calls to retrieve on-chain data. No personal information is transmitted beyond your public wallet address.
Locksmith does not use analytics services, advertising networks, social media trackers, or any other third-party data collection tools.
All user data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's extension storage APIs. We do not operate servers that store user data. If you uninstall the Locksmith extension, all locally stored data (preferences, cost basis records) is deleted automatically by Chrome.
Because Locksmith does not collect or transmit personal data, the primary security boundary is your local device and your wallet provider. We recommend keeping your browser and wallet extension up to date, using hardware wallets for significant holdings, and never sharing your seed phrase or private keys with anyone.
Locksmith is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
